Working in a children's residential home has given the author the opportunity to help people to understand a positive way of life and enable them to reach their full potential. Through poetry the author found it rewarding to express his thoughts in his own unique way.Selective poems have been placed in a audio format to add imputus to what the author is saying.It is hoped that in so doing the message will reach a wider audience.
After seeing, at first hand, the power and influence of his poetry in helping young people express themselves encouraged the author to produce this book, so others may enjoy and appreciate his work. Roy's work has been read publicly at Black History month events, and he has been selected to be published in poetry now, London and the home counties, and in 'Home Swee Home'. A celebration of poets by the poetry guild.
I hope the universal theme in this anthology speaks to all of you black and white man or woman imprisoned in whatever way or free.
